To say that Audrey loved dogs would be an understatement. She was obsessed with dogs!! Gavin’s dog Mollie soon became HER sweet baby girl who could do no wrong. Audrey also grew up with a Molly, our golden retriever. We had to put her down after 13.5 years the week after Audrey left for college. It was heartbreaking for all of us, and it took several years before we got another dog. Then came Archie, our mini golden doodle. We got him when Audrey was on spring break in Florida, and when she found out she wanted to fly home to see him!!! We convinced her she could wait a week. She would have had 10 dogs at a time if she could.
We knew when we were talking about causes we wanted to support, we had to include something with animals because of how important that would be to Aud. We are so proud to already have donated to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue Project for Mollie girl’s birthday on February 4, and we look forward to supporting them for many many years to come in honor of Audrey and Mollie.
