Education was extremely important to Audrey. She didn’t take it lightly and was a very hard worker. She was a perfectionist from a very early age. She graduated from Portage Northern High School with an IB diploma, knowing it would mean taking some harder classes and doing extra work. She enjoyed the challenge. After graduating from MSU she was thrilled to get to continue her studies by working towards her masters degree at Ball State. The day before the accident was Thanksgiving, and she made all of the family go around and say what they were most thankful for. When it was her turn, Audrey said, “I’m thankful I get to get an education because I know not everyone has that chance.” She was always very grateful and took nothing for granted. The Audrey Hensley Family Foundation is proud to help other students have the same opportunity Audrey did by providing scholarships at Portage Northern (Michigan) and Monroe Central (Indiana).

- Scholarship to Michigan State, for graduating senior girl at Portage Northern High School (Portage, MI)
- Scholarship to Michigan State, for graduating senior boy at Portage Northern High School (Portage, MI)
